Likud Member of Knesset Danny Danon said on Sunday that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu should prepare for a third intifada (Arab uprising) in light of the resolutions coming out of the convention of the Fatah faction in Bethlehem, which is currently scheduled to run until Tuesday.
In a letter to the prime minister, the World Likud chairman said that in the wake of the Fatah decision not to recognize Israel, the Jewish state should cancel recent easings in restrictions on residents of the Palestinian Authority-assigned areas of Judea and Samaria. He explained that the easing of restrictions is likely to have a cost in human lives.
He also said construction should be resumed in area Jewish communities, as a way of demonstrating that Arab terror is not acceptable as a means for peace.
