A new study released by the IDF and Ministry of Education reveals that youth from the national religious sector are most likely to join combat units. According to the study, the two high schools with the highest percentage of enlistment to combat units are both from the national religious sector. In first place is the SdehEliyahuHigh School located in the BeitSheanValley and in second place is the Yeshiva High School of Chispin, located on the Golan Heights.

 

Previously secular youth from the kibbutz and moshav movements had held the honor of top enlistment to IDF combat units. Tel Aviv high schools were at the bottom of the list. The study covered the years 2005 - 2007 and rated over 500 Israeli high schools.
