The IDF is celebrating its first-ever archaeological celebration day this Thursday. The day will focus on cooperation between army bases and the Israel Archaeological Authority (IAA) to protect ancient sites.

The two bodies have cooperated on protecting archaeological finds in the past. They hope that soldiers who have more knowledge of the situation will be more likely to help protect artifacts.
