Yuli Edelstein, the Minister of Information and Diaspora, met the heads of the Yesha Council Tuesday and heard their protests regarding Defense Minister Ehud Barak’s intent to raze outposts in Judea and Samaria.
Edelstein said that Barak made the decision on his own, without bringing it before the government. “The Minister of Defense is a member of the government and there are 29 other cabinet members besides him,” Edelstein said. “No member of the government, important as he may be, can decide policy on his own in this matter,” he added.
Edelstein promised that the Likud ministers “will put an end” to Barak’s announced intent to destroy more outposts and that the matter will be decided by the government.
