Dr. Amr Moussa, the secretary-general of the Arab League, said Monday that the Arab League rejects the idea of the Jewish state, adding that this proposal is racist and unacceptable. In a press statement, Dr. Moussa expressed regret that the United States and some countries boycotted the second Durban anti-racism conference, stressing that the countries boycotting the conference should have been working on stopping Israel's racist measures rather than announcing their absence.
The Arab League head said that Israeli had to first declare its acceptance of the establishment of a real independent Palestinian Authority state within the borders occupied in 1967, and emphasized that the Arab side does not want to waste time waiting for the approval of the Israeli government to the establishment of two states, but there must be an international position in this regard.
