U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stated Monday during a press conference in Holland that the new administration has removed from its lexicon the expression “the global war on terror.” Although she hasn’t seen specific orders for its removal, Clinton says that the phrase is simply not being used. Clinton claimed that the removal of the phrase “speaks for itself.”

The term was first introduced by then President George W. Bush after the September 11 terror attacks. The phrase is disliked by certain countries that sponsor terror.
