Yisrael Beiteinu leader Avigdor Lieberman admitted Monday morning during an interview on the radio network Reshet Bet that he may be unable to implement his civil marriage proposals for a while. He said that his party may have to settle with a solution which would only provide civil marriage for non-Jewish couples.
Lieberman also discussed the coalition negotiations between his party and the Likud. According to Lieberman, the Likud remains with the majority of the cabinet positions. He did not state whether or not Daniel Friedmann would continue as Justice Minister, but did protest Labor leader Ehud Barak’s statements that Friedmann was not fit to continue in the position.
