Thousands demonstrated Saturday outside an arena in Sweden where an Israeli tennis team was playing in a Davis Cup match, and several dozen rioters attempted to storm the stadium. They were halted by local police, who were pelted by the rioters with eggs and smoke bombs. About 7,000 protesters gathered outside the stadium in the Swedish city of Malmo to demonstrate against Israel's recent offensive against Gaza Arab terrorists.

Demonstrators heard a series of anti-Israel speeches, led by Swedish leftist leader Lars Ohly. Meanwhile, inside the arena, the game was played and completed without incident, watched by 300 spectators invited as guests by the two teams.
