Two Israelis were wounded in a rocket attack on Ashdod early on Saturday afternoon. The rocket slammed into a residential area, hitting a building and destroying one apartment.

Two people were lightly wounded by shrapnel. In addition, two girls who resided in the apartment that was destroyed suffered psychological trauma. The girls and their parents fled to the building's stairwell just seconds before the strike, and were unhurt.
