(IsraelNN.com) Palestinian Authority officials said Thursday that they welcome the eviction of Jews from the Peace House in Hevron. However, officials sharply criticized Israeli leaders for allegedly not informing them that the building was about to be cleared.

PA officials said they needed to know when the eviction was to commence in order to protect Arabs from retaliation attacks. Arabs claimed dozens of retaliation attacks on Thursday, including arson attacks and two shootings near Hevron. The claims are being investigated and not all have been confirmed. PA officials warned that Arabs would use “all available methods” in self-defense if necessary.
