Infrastructures Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer said Wednesday that security forces should use "unprecedented force" against Jews in Hevron. Jews who break the law "should each be locked up in jail for 15 years', he said.

Violence by nationalist activists, he claimed in an interview on Army Radio, "is leading to the murder of Jews." He called the people engaged in the clashes with police "a handful of people who shamelessly besmirch and sully an entire populace."
