(IsraelNN.com) About 40 nationalist demonstrators blocked traffic for an hour Monday evening at the Mitzpeh Yericho Junction on the Jerusalem-Dead Sea Highway, according to Ynet. Police arrived at the scene and broke up the demonstration. Other demonstrations were reported at the Rechelim, Shilo, Yitzhar and Neve-Tzuf junctions.

According to police, the demonstrators were afraid that the government was starting its eviction of Jewish residents from Peace House in Hevron. The residents of the house have called on people to converge on Peace House to do what they can to prevent the eviction, and say that government forces are building up around the house.
