The mob boss Yaakov Alperon was warned ten days before the bombing of his car that it would be bombed and that he should therefore not carry any of his family as passengers. Alperon took heed of the warning, and for the courthouse appearance Tuesday morning he and his wife each drove their own car.
Alperon's car was blown up by a remote control device Tuesday midday on his way back from the courthouse.
