The United Nations Human Rights Council is “obsessive” and “discriminatory,” deputy UN ambassador Dan Carmon said Tuesday. Carmon addressed the UN and pointed to the unusually high number of HRC sessions spent criticizing Israel.

While Israel is condemned, allegations of human rights abuses from elsewhere in the world are ignored, he said. "We can only watch in disbelief as the council ignores human rights abuses around the world while offering silence at best, and praise at worst to some of the world's most ruthless, abusive dictators,” Carmon said.
