U.S. Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice will try one more time to engineer an agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Authority before the end of President George W. Bush's term. Egypt has agreed to host a summit between Israel and the PA the coming weeks, at Rice's request, Cairo said yesterday.
The summit will take place sometime before January, said a spokesperson for Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. Along with Rice, representatives of the Quartet will participate in the meeting, the spokesperson said.
