Germany has signed an agreement with the Palestinian Authority (PA) to build 55 new police stations in Judea and Samaria. The deal is part of a previously announced European Union (EU) effort to support judicial, police and prison institutions in the PA.

Five of the new police stations will be established in Jenin, which shares with Shechem the label of being the terror capitals of Israel. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, several months ago, agreed to allow hundreds of American-trained armed policemen to be deployed in the city.
