Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's personal appointees to the Turkey-mediated talks with Syria, Yoram Turbowicz and Shalom Turjeman, have been in Turkey since this morning, awaiting the third round of talks between the two countries.

This round is meant to prepare the ground for direct talks between the leaders of the two countries. On July 13, both PM Olmert and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad have said they will attend a conference in France at the invitation of French President Nicholas Sarkozy.
