Obama to Visit Middle East in July

(IsraelNN.com) The Democratic Party’s candidate for President, Senator Barak Obama, has announced he will visit various locations in Europe and the Middle East as part of his candidacy’s first trip abroad in order to “polish his foreign policy” before the upcoming elections. Obama’s relatively strong domestic agenda and lack of foreign affairs and military experience have been a major point of discussion in comparison with the Republican candidate, Senator John McCain (who is a decorated former naval fighter pilot who has served on several influential Senate committees dealing with foreign affairs).

“My trip abroad will give me the opportunity to check the present state of America’s foreign policy…and to consult with our closest friends and supporters regarding the challenges we face in the region”, Obama declared regarding the upcoming trip. He is also scheduled to visit the US forces deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan during the visit.

It is unknown if Obama intends to include Israel in the framework of his visit to the region.
