Admiral Michael Mullen, chairman of the American Joint Chiefs of Staff, is to visit Israel this week for the second time in six months and less than a month after the Israel Air Force carried out an apparently simulated attack on Iran. Mullen will meet with IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi and senior defense officials during a trip to Europe, the Post reported.
He arrived in Israel last December, the first time on 10 years that the commander of the American armed forces visited Israel.
