The Spanish architect of the controversial Bridge of Strings in Jerusalem will be on hand Wednesday morning for ceremonies inaugurating the project, part of the equally controversial light railway system.
The suspension bridge, designed by Santiago Calatrava, includes a support that sticks out dozens of feet in the air like a curved finger and has been both hailed and condemned for providing a new view at the capital's entrance. The event, complete with explanations and a short tour, will take place at 10 a.m. at the pedestrian's passage to the bridge.
