McCain Advisor Denies Urging Jordan as PA State

Robert Kagan, foreign policy advisor to Republican presidential candidate Senator John McCain, has vehemently denied reports on a Jordanian blog that Sen. McCain would declare Jordan the home for Palestinian Authority Arabs if he is elected president. The Arabic language Al Jazeera network reported that Kagan suggested the idea in a lecture at New York University

University officials said that Kagan did not even speak at the institution, let alone make the comment to students. The report was posted on a Jordanian website and reprinted by a popular Jordanian tabloid, setting off a furor. "The reason you are not finding anything online is that I did not give such a lecture. I did not give any lecture in New York and I have not said anything about Jordan," Kagan told the Jordan Times. "I don't know what this guy [the blogger] is talking about."
