The Chairman of  Histadrut National Labor Union, Ofer Eini, today approved a decision to open a general strike on June 30, to protest the workers' loss of tax exemptions for their contributions to Keren Hishtalmut savings plans.

Chairman Eini ordered preparations begun next week toward the strike, which would involve much of the public sector.
