The Chairman of the Yesha Council, Danny Dayan, said Sunday that the U.S. Secretary of State's statement regarding new construction in Judea and Samaria amounted to chutzpah. However, he said that blame should be assigned primarily to the Israeli government for agreeing to Rice's statement.
"A foreign minister of a foreign country comes here and rebukes Israel for providing its citizens with housing in the heart of its capital," Dayan said, yet Israel's leaders "regard a spit in the country's face as drops of rain."
