Syrian President Bashar Assad said that in the indirect talks between his country and Israel, Israel never asked that Syria cut off its ties with Hamas and Hizbullah.
Speaking with Indian newspaper Hindu, Assad explained: "Hamas belongs to the Palestinian track and we are not responsible for it. Hizbullah belongs to the Lebanese track and we are no longer in Lebanon. We are only discussing the Syrian track."
