Obama Backer Says Jerusalem Must Be Negotiated (IsraelNN.com) Dan Kurtzer, former American Ambassador to Israel and an advisor to Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama, told a conference in Jerusalem Tuesday that the status of Jerusalem must be negotiated with the Palestinian Authority (PA). "It will be impossible to make progress on serious peace talks without putting the future of Jerusalem on the table," he told the Jewish People Policy Planning Institute. Kurtzer is visiting Israel for the Presidential Conference. Sen. Obama has been overcoming a negative image of his policy towards Israel, partly because of other advisors who are considered anti-Israel. A recent poll in the United States revealed that one-third of Democratic voters want the capital to remain united. ![]() © A7 Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
