(IsraelNN.com) The mortars that are being fired at Israeli communities by Gaza terrorists are Iranian made, according to defense officials quoted by IDF Army Radio.

In a report broadcast Sunday morning, the IDF also noted that the Color Red alert system cannot detect incoming mortar shells to forewarn potential victims. It detects incoming Kassam rocket attacks by the rocket propulsion.
