IDF: No Warning Possible on Mortar Attacks (IsraelNN.com) The IDF has confirmed that it is impossible to detect an incoming mortar shell before it actually strikes, according to a report on IDF Army Radio. Developing a mortar attack alert system that would give at least some warning to those under attack, similar to the Color Red incoming rocket alert system, is paramount in the minds of those living in the Gaza Belt area. On Friday evening, a 48-year-old husband and father of three was killed when a mortar shell scored a direct hit on his home in Kibbutz Kfar Aza. The body of Jimmy Kedoshim will be laid to rest at 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon in the Kfar Aza cemetery. ![]() © A7 Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
