The United Methodist Church has rejected a campaign to divest from companies connected with Israeli activities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza, but the group itself is far from warm toward the Jewish State, referring in a recent document to the founding of the State of Israel as "the original sin."
A background document distributed at the April 22 United Methodist Church General Conference in Texas also referred to Israeli actions as acts of "terror." The document also claimed the Holocaust has been the cause of "hysteria" and "paranoiac sense" among Israelis," according to The Jerusalem Post.
