The Palestinian Authority hopes to raise $1.5 billion from donor countries and investors during an upcoming conference, PA sources said Monday.  The conference will take place in late May, and will be attended by hundreds of investors and representatives from Arab nations, the World Bank, and the European Union.

The PA hopes to win funding for more than 100 projects, including a plan to develop Ramallah, the center of the PA’s power in Judea and Samaria.  The Ramallah development plan is expected to cost $200 million, and will include the construction of new office space, apartments, and a hotel.
