Seasonally unstable weather will continue to bring down temperatures on Tuesday, but a warming trend will return Wednesday, with summery weather predicted on the Sabbath and Sunday. No rain is forecast, and a small run-off from surrounding hills has left the Kinneret 3.25 meters under the level where dams would have to be opened to prevent flooding in surrounding areas. The dams have not been opened since the winter of 1991-92.
Temperatures will range from 19-9 (48-66 F) in Jerusalem and Gush Etzion on Tuesday, 23-13 (65-73 F) in Tel Aviv and 25-11 (52-77 F) in Be'er Sheva. The thermometer will rise gradually the rest of the week and reach the upper 20s (low 80s F) on the Sabbath and even higher on Sunday. Temperatures in Eilat will reach 40 degrees (104 F).
