(IsraelNN.com) Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni opined Sunday that the latest events in Gaza, as well as the massacre in the Jerusalem yeshiva, negatively affect the Israeli public's confidence in the diplomatic process with the PA. Livni was speaking with Gen. Jim Jones, the U.S. security coordinator in the region.

"Israel is obligated to provide a solution to the terror, and any process will have to provide an absolute solution to security needs," she said.

"The creation of a Palestinian state is not the required security solution," Livni explained. "The solution depends on the existence of elements that are not just interested in living in peace with Israel, but which can also fight terror."
