Arab sources told news agencies that the terrorist who murdered eight Merkaz HaRav Kook yeshiva students Thursday had previously been employed as a driver for the yeshiva. The police denied it.
The Arabs said the murderer was Alla Abu-Dehin, 20, of Jabel Mukabar in eastern Jerusalem, and that he had been employed as a driver for Merkaz HaRav Kook. They added that Abu-Dehin was arrested by Israel's security forces four months ago and was released after two months in jail.
The murderer's family set up a mourners' tent outside their Jebel Mukabar home and adorned it with Hamas flags. Hamas praised the massacre but did not take responsibility for it.
