(IsraelNN.com) Eight yeshiva students were killed and 11 were wounded in the terrorist attack on the Mercaz HaRav Yeshiva in Jerusalem Thursday night, the eve of the first of two days of the new month, Adar II. The terrorist, a resident of eastern Jerusalem, entered the world-renowned institution around 8:30 p.m. and walked up to the library of the Beit Midrash where hundreds of youth were learning.

He began spraying bullets in every direction and managed to change cartridges before being killed by civilians. The names of the eight victims have not been released. Three of the wounded are in serious condition, but there is no immediate danger to their lives. One student was injured after he jumped out of the second floor window as the terrorist was shooting.
