Muslim Minister Farrakhan Backs Obama

(IsraelNN.com) Muslim preacher Louis Farrakhan, recovering from prostate cancer complications, has backed Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama, who faces increasing criticism from the Jewish community.

In a two-hour speech Sunday, Farrakhan called Sen. Obama the "herald of the Messiah" who provides "hope for the entire world." Aides to Sen. Obama said they did not solicit Farrakhan's support and emphasized that the Democratic candidate rejects statements the preacher has made about whites and Jews.
