(IsraelNN.com) Avi Roeh has been elected as head of the Binyamin regional council.  Roeh previously served as deputy to Binyamin Council head Pinchas Wallerstein, who recently retired after 28 years working for Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria.

Roeh lost his first wife in a traffic accident, and has since remarried to Hadassah Weinberg, whose first husband Dror was murdered in an ambush on IDF soldiers in Hevron.  Roeh and Weinberg each brought six children to their second marriage, and recently welcomed their thirteenth child.  The couple lives in Kochav Yaakov.
