The IDF reported on Monday that the rate of Kassam rocket attacks on Israel is one every three hours, or approximately 240 a month.
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and the Palestinian Authority (PA) agreed to a ceasefire exactly one year ago. The agreement called for a halt to all terrorist attacks originating from Gaza while Israel would cease counter-terrorist operations in the same area. The first break in the agreement came when a Kassam was fired on Israel about 75 minutes after it was announced.
The agreement did not mention arms smuggling by terrorists.
