Minister Ami Ayalon (Labor) said Wednesday that he is certain that "a permanent agreement between Israel will be signed by October 2008."
He told IDF Radio that the Annapolis conference has a strictly ceremonial function.
Ayalon said earlier this week that the right wing in Israel has succeeded in creating an atmosphere that paralyzed the Annapolis conference.
