The case of the former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agent who accessed secret information on Hizbullah with the intention of passing it on to the terrorist organization continues to unravel into an assortment of security breaches. After officials discovered that Nada Nadim Prouty fraudulently obtained American citizenship and a passport, the New York Post reported that her husband is a State Department employee who held sensitive posts.

The FBI originally dismissed the importance of Prouty's position, calling her a middle level worker. It later was discovered she held secure jobs with the FBI and with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

The Post said her third husband has been stationed in Egypt and in Pakistan. Officials have not said whether he is under investigation.
