Various Arab news agencies have reported the death toll in Gaza between seven and 10 with up to a 100 wounded after Hamas forces fired on a huge Fatah rally late Monday morning. The rally of between 100,000-300,000 people chanted anti-Hamas slogans while memorializing former Fatah later Yasser Arafat. The Al-Jazeera Arab news service said at least five people were killed, while other sources put the toll at nine.

The number of people attending the rally "surpassed all expectations," Al Jazeera reported, and the Hamas brought out a large force to oversee the crowd.
