Canadian Deputy Liberal party leader Michael Ignatieff, who is visiting Israel, said politicians preparing for the Annapolis, Maryland conference are like "Boston tryouts for a Broadway show... trying out their official lines."
Ignatieff was the only Canadian to participate in the annual Saban Forum, which included visiting American Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Quarter envoy Tony Blair and leading Israeli and Arab politicians.
The Liberal politician is trying to recover form damage at home after his comment during the Second Lebanon War that Israel had committed war crimes.
