Police and Army soldiers have arrested 12 Arabs for damaging Jewish vineyards at Neria in Samaria last Thursday. Police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld refused to comment on what witnesses or evidence prompted the police to arrest the Arabs.
Most previous instances of damage to trees and grapevines in the southern Hevron Hills and Gush Etzion were not followed by arrests despite eyewitness testimony. Police often place criminal charges against Jewish residents in Judea and Samaria as a result of complaints from left wing activists who instigate violence and cause damage and then accuse Jews.
