(IsraelNN.com) The government decided Monday to side with the extreme-left Peace Now group regarding four Jewish stores in the Avraham Avinu neighborhood of Hevron.  State attorneys informed the Supreme Court that they support the immediate expulsion of two Jewish families from the stores.  An IDF committee had decided not to expel the families before giving them a hearing.

Jewish residents of Hevron expressed anger at the decision, explaining that the stores in question were owned by Jews and had been owned by Jews for several decades.  They accused the government of failing in its role as guardian of the properties by leaving the properties empty and unprotected and by failing to take the owners’ wishes into account.
