IDF officials said Saturday that activists were expelled from Homesh for their own good. Intelligence officials have received reports according to which local terrorists plan to attack the activists, who they see as “easy prey,” according to one captain. Several dozen activists have been staying in Homesh for the past few weeks, and many remain despite being dragged away three times in the past 24 hours.
Members of the “Homesh First” group responded to the IDF’s warnings by calling on the IDF to fight the terrorists, not the activists. “The IDF invests efforts in attempts to expel and persecute Jews, but devotes almost no effort to their security. If something happens in Homesh, the Shomron brigade commander is responsible,” the group announced.
