The IDF stated Thursday afternoon that it “does not comment on reports of this nature” after Syrian media issued a report that Israel Air Force aircraft flew over the country overnight Thursday.
The official Syrian Arab News Agency quoted a military spokesman who accused Israeli aircraft of dropping ammunition over deserted areas in northern Syria. The spokesman said the Syrian military fired at the aircraft.
IDF sources said initially that they were looking into the report, saying that the IDF had “no information supporting the claim that an Israeli aircraft was fired upon.”
