Holy Land 'Charity" Sought Money for War against Israel

Prosecutors in the Holy Land Foundation trial in Dallas, Texas told a federal court that an unknown Muslim terrorist asked the organization for money to help fund a holy war against Israel. "Jihad in Palestine is different from any other Jihad; the meaning of killing a Jew for the liberation of Palestine cannot be compared to any Jihad on earth," the writer of the letter stated.Lawyers also produced letter of thanks to the group for helping children of suicide bombers.

The government has charged five leaders of Holy Land with raising more for the foundation, which it said is a front for the outlawed Hamas terrorist party. Defense lawyers said the charity gave money to hospitals and orphanages in Judea, Samaria and Gaza but not to Hamas.
