The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's legislative council last week urged the church to consider a total boycott of Israeli products and investments in the Jewish state.

The Simon Wiesenthal Center responded, "This marks the first time a mainline American Protestant church has moved toward a possible boycott of Israel."
