Israel, Jordan, PA and Japan Launch 'Valley of Peace'

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni met with the Palestinian Authority "Prime Minister" Salam Fayyad, the Jordanian Foreign Minister Abdul-Ilah Khatib and Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Aso in Jericho Wednesday and stated that Israel was interested in peace, not diplomatic stagnation.

The four diplomats agreed to go ahead with the project sponsored by Israeli President Shimon Peres - the so called "Valley of Peace" between Israel and Jordan – with Japanese funding. The first project to be established will be an agricultural industrial area in southern Jericho.
