According to a poll conducted by “Shevakim Panorama” for Kol Israel, only two percent of the Israeli public has “complete trust” in Members of Knesset.  Forty-five(45) percent said they have a complete distrust of the MKs, while thirty-five(35) percent said that MKs contribute nothing to society or democracy.

MK Michael Eitan (Likud) said Saturday that the results show “a great crisis that broke out as a result of the Second Lebanon War.”  MK Chaim Oron (Meretz) added that there are “different people and different parties” in the Knesset, and said “I am constantly trying, and failing, to convince the public that the Knesset is not a social club.”
