IBA Radio Reshet Bet reported that the attack on Kiryat Shemona Sunday afternoon was probably carried out by Palestinians living in Lebanon, and not by the Shiite Hizbullah terrorist group.

Two explosions occurred in Kiryat Shemona: one, in a residential area, caused no damage, and another, in the town's industrial area, caused some damage. No one was hurt in the attacks.

IBA TV (Channel 11) reported that there may have been additional explosions in the Kiryat Shemona area.

About 1,000 Katyusha rockets hit Kiryat Shemona during the Second Lebanon War last summer. The last Katyusha hit on August 14th 2006.
