Hamas TV station, Al Aksa TV, has broadcast a short, edited video showing the execution of Fatah Al-Aksa Brigades commander Samih Madhoun Thursday. The clip shows a lynch mob dragging Madhoun down a Gaza street, shouting "kalb" – Arabic for "dog."
According to media reports, the clip shown on Al Aksa TV, while disturbing, is a relatively sterile version of the execution, which was exceedingly cruel.
Madhoun was considered close to Muhammad Dahlan, Fatah's dapper Gaza strongman, who is a favorite interviewee of Israel's left-wing media. Madhoun had boasted he could defeat Hamas.
